The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a partnership between the Government of Canada and the four Atlantic provinces: New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The Atlantic Immigration Program lets Atlantic employers hire qualified candidates for jobs that they haven’t been able to fill locally.

Candidates can be living abroad or be living in Canada temporarily, but they must have a job offer from, or must be employed by, a designated employer before applying. If applicant is residing in Canada, they must demonstrate valid immigration status. Applicants residing in Canada must have a valid permit with at least four (4) months remaining at time of AIP Application Submission on the Immigration Accelerator.

Are you a candidate for the Atlantic Immigration Program?

If you and the employer meet the program requirements, you and your eligible dependents will receive permanent resident status, and can live and work in Canada. For more information on the steps you need to follow, please see Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada.
